ITINERARY
Pick-up
at about 8am, from Kota Kinabalu City hotel for transfer to Mengkabung Village,
which is approximately 30 minutes travel away. The Mengkabung is a
traditional Malay fishing village where houses are built on stilts
over 'water'. Proceed to 'Batik House; and try your hand at batik
painting.
Brief
stop at Pottery Shop on the way back to Kota Kinabalu for Monosopiad
Cultural Village. Experience one of Sabah's rich and colorful
cultures. Upon arrival, visit the legendary house of skulls, and be
enthralled by the elusive stories of Monosopiad, the warrior and the
way of life of the Kadazan Dusun peoples as in the old days. Watch
the locals doing traditional handicraft work and join in on the
cultural shows.
Lunch
at local restaurant. After lunch proceed for city tour of Kota Kinabalu with a visit to the Tanjung Aru Beach, the state mosque,
and the Sabah Museum. A brief stop at 'Poh Toh Tze (Chinese Temple)
and the unique cylindrical Sabah Foundation Building.
After
tour transfer back to you hotel in Kota Kinabalu
