DAY
1
From
Miri, we leave in the morning for a scenic countryside travel to Niah
National Park (110 km) through oil palm plantations and local pepper
farms and villages. On arrival at the Niah National Park, we will
register at the park and check in the National Park chalet. Lunch/
dinner will be at the Niah town canteen. Free iin the afternoon.
Overnight at Park.
DAY
2
Morning
breakfast,
before
we take the longboat ride at Pangkalan Lobang to cross the river where
we will start off with a visit to the Niah Archaeological Museum first.
The prehistoric Niah Caves is famed for its role as one of the
birthplaces of civilisation in Asia. The oldest human remains were found
in Niah making the park one of the most important archaeological sites
of the world. Tour of the cave will take you through the Great and
Painted Caves as well as allowing you to witness the age-old remnants of
bird’s nest harvesting equipment inside the cave (now a government
controlled activity). Tour into the caves will take approximately 3
hours. Stop over at Niah Park canteen for a local lunch before we return
to Miri. Arrive back at the hotel around 6pm.

For late departures out of Miri, pick up time will be revised to accommodate
(clients
will be brought direct to airport).

For arrivals into Miri and tour on the same day, we will proceed
directly to the tour and return to Miri town for hotel check-in late
evening.
