If you are a wildlife or nature enthusiast, I would recommend that you make a 2 Day or 3 Day tour to this park.

Best times for wildlife watching around this park are around dusk or dawn, when many of the forest creatures come out to feed… so if you do not mind simple accommodation at the guesthouse in the National Park… you will be happier making the overnight stay. The park is also ideal for lolling by the sea and strolling in its many sandy beaches.

Day 1

Depart Kuching with car/coach and arrive at the Bako village. On arrival, board, board the boat at the jetty and proceed for half and hour boat ride to the National Park. After registration at the Park and check in, proceed for trekking in the park. Lunch will be at the park's local restaurant. In the evening after dinner, you can choose to make some short treks to observe for nocturnal life forms. Overnight in the park chalet. 

Day 2

After breakfast, you can decide with the guide what you wish to make today. After lunch, depart the park and return to Kuching.
