The
Bako National Park sits on 2,742 hectares of a rugged sandstone
peninsula on the South-west coast of Sarawak, and is one of the
easiest and most fascinating place in Sarawak to observe these flora
and fauna. You may not see all mentioned above, especially of the
wildlife, because as the name suggests, they are wild, and hence
when visitors stomp through the undergrowth, they are frightened
away. But you will certainly see
some, and the vegetation will astound you.
ITINERARY
Starts
with a car ride from Kuching to the Bako village jetty, and a half
an hour boat tide to arrive at the National Park. On
arrival, after registering at the Park's centre, proceed for
trekking - explore the fauna and flora. There are plenty of trails
to choose - discuss with your guide and decide which trail fits you
best. Lunch is included, and will be at the Park's canteen.
