"The Rafflesia"
being the largest parasite flower in the world, takes 9 months to bloom but lasts for a few days only.
ITINERARY
Drive (about 1 hour 15
minutes) up through scenic Sinsuron Pass to reach Tambunan Rafflesia
Centre (60km) within Crocker Range Park.
Walk the
jungle trails in the cool mountain air (1,200m/4000ft) to look
for
the
largest flower in the world (subject to availability).
Lunch at a
mountainside restaurant before proceeding to the Tambunan plains and
its terraced rice fields for an insight into the rural lifestyle of
Sabah. Return to Kota Kinabalu in the mid-afternoon.
