One of the highlights of Mulu is the majestic natural
limestone structures known at the Pinnacles. This trek has it all:
Cool scenic boat rides, rainforest trekking, river crossings,
swimming in cool mountain pools and the physical and mental
challenge of the climb. Please book in advance to allow
preparations. A certain degree of fitness is required to make this
trip. All accommodation on this trek are very basic. Food and
equipment has to be transported.
DAY 1
Check in to Royal Mulu Resort. At 1500 hours proceed
on the Lang and Deer Caves Tour. Meet at the Resort and you will be
transferred to the Park Headquarters where your guide will lead you
on a 3km hike through Mulu's amazing tropical rainforests. Discover
Lang Cave and its beautiful limestone formations and walk thorugh
the World's largest cave entrance: The Massive Deer Cave. Relax with
a snack at the open air observatory for an opportunity to witness
the phenomenal exodus of millions of bats out of the caves on their
nightly search for food (Subject to weather).
Trek back to the Resort by 1900-2000 hours.
