minutes and a world away from Kota Kinabalu are Kadazandusun rice
farmers of the narrow Kiulu Valley. Visit a native market and tour a
gloriously unspoilt scenery of terraced rice fields, bamboos, and
simple bamboo farmhouses, with the sparkling clean Kiulu River
flowing over a stoney bed, spanned by suspension bridges.
And all
around, the steep, lush green slopes of the Crocker Range
foothills.
Cool
off with a dip in the river. Visit a pottery on the return trip.
