Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre
Meet at hotel in Sandakan or pick up at Sandakan airport & proceed to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation
Centre. Here 24km from Sandakan , young orphaned or captive apes are
rehabilitated for life in the wild. At prescribed times, witness the feeding of the Orang Utans. Walk along the nature trail & enjoy the realm of tropical lowland jungle.
Perhaps visit the nature education center to view the displays & exhibits.
Depart Sepilok Orang Utan Centre for lunch at local restaurant. After lunch proceed for the Sandakan city tour. Visit the revolving observation pavilion for a bird's view of Sandakan town.
Stop at the Malay fishing village where the houses are built on
stilts, visit the Chinese Buddhist temple which also offers a panoramic view of the Sandakan town and last but not least, stop at the Australian War Memorial.
Transfer to the airport for flight out or return to hotel in Sandakan.
