ACTIVITIES

Nature Walk

An hour walk through the forest with the nature guide describing the various timber species. Look out for scenes that appeared in the National Geographic Magazine. All ages - even toddlers. Being both educational & interesting, there is a half-hour briefing also available to those interested. Some forestry issues are discussed and this followed by a slide show on flora & fauna.

Forest Trek

For the adventurous, a challenging trekking course is available. A guide is an absolute must. It can take up to 3 hours of trekking through the forest.

Treasure Hunt

This is a nature-related treasure hunt. Questions will be prepared that will give you some understanding of the forest.

Museum

Entrance is FOC. There are two floors of interesting artifacts concerning forest & FRIM. Look out for the longest rattan and the insect and seeds collection. Due to cut-backs, the museum will only be opened (on request) on Sundays & Public Holidays.

Canopy Walkway

This is a suspension bridge linking five trees. It is about 30 metres (30ft) above ground and 200 metres (700ft) in length. It can be tough for the unfit and children below 6 years are not allowed. Opened from Tues to Sat (9am - 2pm). Mon, 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month is closed for maintenance.
